Salvation

God's Simple Plan of Salvation

Do you know what will happen to your soul after you die? The Bible says:

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Hebrews 9:27

That raises an interesting problem. Are you ready to stand before God?

The purpose of this page is to tell you about the Lord Jesus Christ that you may receive Him as your Lord and Savior and be saved. The Bible says:

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36

The Bible clearly says there are only two types of people on earth: Those who are saved and those who are lost. Those who are lost will spend their eternity in Hell. The Bible describes Hell in the following way:

A lake of fire and brimstone. Satan (the devil) will spend eternity here and the smoke of his torment will rise for ever and ever. Revelation 20:10

The same chapter goes on to say:

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8

Those who are saved and washed in the blood of the Lamb (the Lord Jesus Christ) will spend their eternity in heaven! The Bible describes Heaven in the following way:

9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel. 18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. 19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. 22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. 25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. 26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. Revelation 21:9-26

The choice of where you spend eternity is entirely up to you. The Bible says:

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18

God gives each of us a choice. You may stay lost and on your way to an eternal lake of fire (Hell) or you may choose the Lord Jesus as your Savior and accept His free love gift of salvation and eternal life. God will not send anyone to hell. They go there by the choice of rejecting Jesus Christ's payment for their sins.

God is perfect and just and, therefore, demands that all sin must be punished. The Bible says:

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:10

Sin has a penalty:

For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

The Lord Jesus paid the penalty (died on the cross and shed his sinless blood) for our sins:

But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

For God so loved the World that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him will not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

In order to be saved you must receive the Lord Jesus as your personal savior:

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: John 1:12

The Lord Jesus is the only way to be saved...there is no other way!

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Romans 10:9-11

That is God's simple plan of salvation. Admit to God that you are a sinner in need of a savior. Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ and his finished work on the cross-dying in our place, shedding his sinless blood to pay for our sins and then rising from the dead-is the only way you will be saved. If you truly want to be saved and have an eternal home in heaven then say the following prayer and mean it with all your heart. Don't worry as God sees you right now and can hear every word you speak!

Sinners prayer:

"Oh God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I cannot save myself. Thank you that Jesus died for sinners. And right now, I transfer all of my trust to Him. As best as I know how, I come and I believe that He is the Son of God, and I believe that He is able to cleanse me and accept me, and I trust Him for that. Thank you that He was raised from the dead to prove that He has won the victory over death. Thank you that He has the keys of death and of Hades. I look to Him now as my own Savior, in Jesus' name. Amen."

If you have prayed that prayer and God sees your heart, He will have received you, accepted you and declared you righteous on Christ's behalf so that you can spend eternity with Him. God bless you!
