What We Believe
What We Believe

1. We believe that God eternally exists as one essence in three (distinct) persons. Each fills a unique role. The Father superintended creation and sustains all things. The Son and the Holy Spirit are willingly subordinate to the Father. (Psalm 90:2; John 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; John 10:30; John 4:24; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 8:5-6)

2. We believe the Son, Jesus, is the Messiah, the creator, and is our Divine Lord and Savior. We believe in His virgin birth, His substitutionary death, and His bodily resurrection. (John 4:26; John 1:1; John 3:16; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:34; Isaiah 53; Romans 1:4; 1 Corinthians 15; 1 Thessalonians 3:13-17; 1 Corinthians 8:5-6)

3. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Agent of creation. He is the One through Whom God works in the church, bringing about in us a changed life and the gifts that we have for service. (John 16:13-15; 15:26; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Job 33:4; Psalm 33:6; Genesis 1:12; 26; Ephesians 2:10; Ephesians 3:14-19; Galatians 5:16-23; 1 Corinthians 12-14; Romans 12)

4. We believe the Bible is "God-breathed," is complete, and is without error in the original manuscripts. We believe in the supreme authority of the Bible over every aspect of our lives. (2 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 5:17-18; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

5. We believe that those who trust in the substitutionary death of Jesus the Messiah will be sealed and regenerated by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, will demonstrate a changed life, and will be saved from final judgment.(John 3:17,18; John 20:31; Ephesians 1:13-14; John 15:1-8; Galatians 5:22-23; Romans 5:1; Acts 16:31)

6. We believe that every believer is competent to interpret the Bible by means of the Holy Spirit and is able to approach the Father directly in prayer. (Ephesians 3:14-19; Hebrews 10; 2 Timothy 2:15)

7. We believe in the symbolic ordinances of believer's baptism, by immersion, and the Lord's Supper, as a testimony to the world of the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus. (Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

8. We believe in the personal, premillenial return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Messiah. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Acts 1:11; Matthew 25:31-34; Revelation 20; Zechariah 2:10-12; Matthew 24:29-31; Mark 13; Zechariah 9:14; 1 Corinthians 15:23; Revelation 19; Job 19:25)

9.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting joy of the regenerated and the everlasting torment of the lost. (1 Corinthians 15; Revelation 22:5; Matthew 25; Revelation 20:11)
